In a candid interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Wanni firmly asserted that Shaun never had romantic feelings for Nelly, despite speculation. She clarified that it was actually Nelly who had feelings for Shaun, not the other way around.
Wanni went on to explain that Shaun had made a clear choice, picking her over Nelly because Nelly didn’t take the initiative. She emphasized that if Shaun had truly been interested in Nelly, he would have pursued her, especially considering Nelly’s apparent attraction to him.
“Nelly was flirting with him even when we were together,” Wanni stated, reinforcing her belief that Shaun made his choice based on his true feelings. Meanwhile, Nelly had been involved in a complicated relationship with Sooj during the show, but both claimed that their relationship lacked clear definition.
