Afrobeats superstar Davido, also known as David Adeleke, recently opened up about spending time with fellow artist Wizkid (Ayo Balogun) prior to the release of his *Timeless* album on March 31, 2023. In a video posted by bwetv.ng on Instagram, Davido explained that the hangout was intended to send a message to their fanbases, showing that there was no animosity between the two musicians. He wanted to make sure his album’s launch was drama-free and emphasized that their interaction was meant to calm tensions between their supporters.
Davido also reached out to a key fan during the video, sharing his desire to prevent any disputes between his own fans and Wizkid’s followers. He acknowledged, however, that despite his efforts, some fans continue to argue online, disregarding his attempts to ease tensions. Nevertheless, Davido expressed his appreciation for the positive attributes of his fanbase, even as he recognized the ongoing online rivalry between the two camps.
