Media personality Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has openly criticized the Nigerian government for allegedly misleading the public about the state of the economy.
VDM took issue with the government’s claim that 50kg bags of rice were being sold for N40,000, asserting that the actual market price exceeds N70,000. He challenged officials to point out where these lower-priced bags could be found.
Additionally, VDM expressed frustration over the government’s announcement that it had increased the NYSC allowance to N77,000, while corps members were still receiving N33,000. He warned that continued deception and poor governance could lead to spontaneous protests from the public.
VDM stressed that when the citizens rise against bad leadership, it will happen without any prior announcement, leaving the government to face the consequences of their actions.

Recently, the media figure shared a video where he asked Nigerians about the skills they want to acquire. After getting some replies, he noted he has N250k available for four individuals.
He invited more people to comment on the skills they wish to learn and to submit their applications, saying he would look through the comments on his Instagram.
