Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate Today, June 18, 2026: Nigerian Naira appreciates after four days of decline
The Naira appreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday to begin the week on a good note.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira strengthened on Monday to N1,369.11 against the dollar, compared to N1,370.46 traded on Friday last week.
This means that Nigerian currency slightly gained against the dollar when compared N1,370.46 was exchanged last weekend.
Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira remained at N1,400 per dollar, the same rate traded last week.
This comes as the country’s foreign reserves rose further to $51.06 billion, according to the apex bank’s data on June 19th, 2026.
Recall that last week, Nigerian local currency weakened throughout the week except Monday.
