Comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, recently expressed his frustration with the begging behavior of some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry. He criticized them, questioning whether they were “crazy” for engaging in such behavior, as it undermines their talent and self-worth.
In a conversation on the *CreativiTea Live with Linda* podcast, Basketmouth recalled a time when he felt deeply embarrassed after a man threw money at him while he was performing on stage. He emphasized that such actions are demeaning and urged his peers to uphold the dignity of their craft.
During the discussion, Basketmouth also talked about his new movie, *A Ghetto Love Story*, and the importance of collaborating with younger talents. At 46, he values the experience he has gained over the years, but he remains open to sharing his platform with the younger generation, acknowledging the benefits of learning from them as well.
He further revealed that two sponsors backed out of supporting his movie, which was a difficult setback. However, he managed to bounce back, raising N300 million in just 12 hours to push the project forward.
