Busta Rhymes Praises Rema, Calls Him “Brother” Video Trends Online

Nigerian rising star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, had an unforgettable encounter with American music icon Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor George Smith Jr. The two artists met at an event, and Busta was excited to share the moment with the Afrobeats sensation.

Rema, along with fellow artists Asake and Omah Lay, was a featured performer at the 2024 Promise Land festival in Australia, which took place from October 4-6, 2024. The festival boasted a diverse lineup of musicians, including Jorja Smith, Miguel, and Busta Rhymes.

Rumors circulated that Rema and Busta met during the festival, where Busta praised Rema’s accomplishments and acknowledged Africa’s significant contribution to nurturing talented artists. In his speech, he referred to the Mavin signee as “brother,” highlighting a sense of camaraderie between the two musicians.
