“If you don’t pay your tithe, you’ll go to heaven in a Lazarus style”- Pastor Miracle asserts

In a thought-provoking sermon, Nigerian pastor U.O Miracle sparked discussions both in his church and online regarding the significance of tithing within Christianity. He emphasized to his congregation that while failing to pay tithes may not bar them from entering heaven, it could impact their standing in the afterlife as well as their financial circumstances on earth.

Pastor Miracle reassured those who do not contribute tithes, stating that they can still attain heaven, although he warned that their spiritual journey might be fraught with challenges and discomfort. He illustrated his point by referencing the biblical story of Lazarus, the poor man who, despite arriving in heaven “with his dirty body” and without any privileges, still made it to the afterlife. This narrative served to highlight his belief that spiritual and financial prosperity on earth may be influenced by one’s commitment to tithing.

His remarks have resonated with many, igniting conversations about the role of financial contributions in spiritual life and the broader implications for believers.

“If you don’t pay your tithe, you will go to heaven but in a Lazarus style. You’ll be very poor in this world but you will go to heaven. If you’re a tither, you will go in Abraham’s pattern. Lazarus went to heaven as a poor man with his body already eaten by worms, and had sore on his body,” he stated.
