Laide Bakare comes up about her feud with Eniola Badmus and explains her ties to Davido’s uncle.

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Laide Bakare recently addressed the controversies surrounding her life, including her political ambitions and her feud with fellow actress Eniola Badmus. In a candid interview with Seun Oloketuyi on October 7, Laide shared insights into her experiences in the political arena and her strained relationship with Badmus.

Laide was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Art, Culture, and Tourism by Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State in February. This appointment thrust her into the political limelight, generating both enthusiasm and skepticism among the public. Reflecting on her initial meeting with Governor Adeleke during a visit to the United States, Laide expressed admiration for his approachable nature and ability to connect with young people. She noted that he recognized her potential, which significantly influenced her decision to accept the role.

In her new position, Laide has embraced the challenges and opportunities that come with it, emphasizing the governor’s confidence in her to enhance Osun’s entertainment and cultural landscape. With initiatives already in motion, Laide expressed her commitment to uplifting youth and students throughout the state.

However, her political journey has not been without its conflicts. The ongoing clash with Eniola Badmus has become a notable issue within the industry. Laide recounted a recent public altercation where Eniola accused her of saying she was “childless,” a claim that deeply hurt Laide. She clarified that she never made such a statement and that her intention was merely to offer Eniola advice about considering a family. Unfortunately, her words were misinterpreted and twisted into a hurtful accusation.

Laide’s openness in addressing these issues highlights her determination to navigate her political career while managing personal conflicts within the entertainment industry.
